Beachfront Villas in Croatia

Croatia's Adriatic coast is one of the most beautiful in Europe, with more than a thousand islands, limestone shores and water so clear that boats appear to float in the air. Sandy beaches are rare here; instead, the finest houses have private coves, stone terraces and jetties of their own.

Around Dubrovnik, our villas range from contemporary houses in the sheltered bay of Zaton to a former monastery on Lopud, the car-free Elaphiti island with Šunj, one of the few sandy beaches on this coast. Further north, on the island of Lošinj, our villas line Čikat Bay, where Habsburg aristocrats built summer villas in the late 19th century, drawn by its mild climate and pine-scented air. On Hvar, a beachfront villa sits within walking distance of Hvar Town, with the Pakleni islands just offshore, and on Pag, a seafront estate offers complete seclusion on one of the Adriatic's most unusual, lunar-like islands.

The best months are June and September, when the water is warm and the old towns are less crowded.
