World-class resorts, dramatic Pacific coastlines, and a sophisticated villa market anchored by Los Cabos and Punta Mita.
Mexico has developed into a serious luxury villa destination over the past two decades, particularly along the Pacific coast. Los Cabos (Cabo San Lucas and San José del Cabo) offers desert-meets-ocean drama, championship golf, and a polished resort infrastructure. Punta Mita, on the Riviera Nayarit north of Puerto Vallarta, delivers jungle-clad headlands, calmer waters, and a more laid-back energy. Both regions attract a sophisticated international clientele and offer villa standards comparable to southern Europe or the Caribbean.
We work with a curated selection of villas in Los Cabos (particularly Pedregal, Palmilla, and the Corridor) and Punta Mita. Each property is vetted for design, privacy, staff quality, and location. Expect contemporary Mexican architecture (stone, wood, palapa roofs, indoor-outdoor flow), infinity pools with ocean views, and experienced household teams. Many villas sit within private resort communities with access to beach clubs, spas, and concierge services.
The appeal is straightforward:Mexico is accessible (short flights from the US and Canada, competitive private aviation costs), offers exceptional value relative to the Caribbean or Mediterranean, and delivers genuine cultural depth. The food scene is world-class, from street tacos to Michelin-level dining. The landscape varies from Baja’s arid, sculptural coastline to the lush tropical setting of Punta Mita. It’s ideal for multi-generational families, groups seeking activity (fishing, diving, surfing, golf), and clients who want a high level of service.
The trade-offs: Hurricane season runs June through October, with the highest risk in September. Los Cabos can feel crowded and resort-heavy during US holiday periods (Thanksgiving, Christmas, spring break), and parts of Cabo San Lucas skew toward loud and party-focused. Security concerns exist in certain regions of Mexico, though the major luxury resort zones (Los Cabos, Punta Mita) are well-managed and considered safe; we advise private transfers and staying within vetted areas. Service standards can be inconsistent outside top-tier properties, and infrastructure (roads, utilities) is less reliable than in Europe or the US.
Next step: If Mexico aligns with your brief, share your dates, party composition, preferred region, and any specific requirements (golf access, fishing, family layout, resort amenities, etc.) and we’ll send a shortlist within 24 hours.
