Villa Gaia
Villa Gaia sits at the top of the Domaine de Castellet, a private estate in the hills above Villefranche-sur-Mer. From here the view sweeps over the bay and the peninsula of Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, and on clear days reaches far along the coast.
The contemporary villa is arranged across three floors of around 500 square metres. On the ground level, a lounge with a fireplace, a TV area and an open-plan kitchen and dining room for twelve open onto the terraces. Upstairs, two master suites with dressing rooms and sea views are joined by four more en-suite bedrooms with balconies, sleeping twelve in all.
The lower level is dedicated to wellbeing and entertainment, with a heated indoor pool, a spa with sauna, a Technogym fitness room and a cinema. Outside, a semi-heated infinity pool and pool house with kitchenette look out over the Riviera, with a barbecue and plancha for long summer evenings.
Food and wine are taken seriously. The private chef programme was designed by Michelin-starred chef Alain Llorca, and the wine cellar has been curated by sommelier Frank Thomas. A chef, butler, housekeeper and overnight security are part of every stay, along with breakfast, an afternoon snack, a two-hour arrival massage and transfers from Nice, Cannes or the Monaco heliport.
