Villa Amelie
Villa Amelie is built into the cliffs at Štikovica, a quiet coastal village just north of Dubrovnik, where pine-covered hills drop straight into the Adriatic. The Old City's walls and streets are around ten minutes away by car, yet here the soundtrack is little more than the sea below and the boats passing out towards the Elafiti Islands.
The villa is contemporary in spirit, finished in marble, oak and travertine, and arranged over three levels of around 700 square metres linked by a private lift. On the main level, an open-plan living space with floor-to-ceiling glass flows into a dining area, a full kitchen, a library and a bar, all oriented towards the view.
Five en-suite bedrooms in the main house, with high ceilings and full-length windows, are joined by two studio apartments in a separate guest house, sleeping fourteen in all. It is an easy arrangement for larger families or friends who like a little independence.
Outside, a heated infinity pool sits on a broad terrace with loungers and space for long lunches, alongside a hot tub, Finnish sauna and fitness area. Steps lead down to a private stone plateau at the water's edge, with a berth for a boat, so mornings can begin with a swim straight off the rocks. Daily housekeeping and a 24-hour concierge are included.
