Serena Vista

Serena Vista sits on a hillside on Ibiza's quieter east coast, high above the little bay of Sol d'en Serra. From its terraces the view runs straight out over the water, and the name feels less like a flourish than a description.

The architecture is modern, but the mood inside is warmly retro. Floor-to-ceiling glass opens the two-level living room to the light and, in summer, to the outdoors, while furniture from the 1950s to the 1970s gives the space a relaxed, collected character. The kitchen opens to the living area, and a study offers somewhere quiet to retreat.

There are five en-suite bedrooms for ten guests, most with their own terraces or lounge areas and several with sea views; one has a hammock strung in its private outdoor corner. Outside, the pool is surrounded by sundecks, a lawn and a covered lounge facing the bay, with a long table for ten under shade for lunches that stretch into the afternoon.

The setting is easy to enjoy on foot. Amante, the clifftop beach club and restaurant, is a couple of minutes' walk away, Sol d'en Serra beach lies below, and Cala Llonga's village and sandy cove are about fifteen minutes along the coast. Ibiza Town is around fifteen minutes by car.
