Rosalita House

Rosalita House is a celebrated beachfront estate on Harbour Island in the Bahamas, perched on a dune above the famous Pink Sands Beach. Reached by a quiet lane on this small, car-free island, it is one of the most private houses on the island, with around 166 feet of frontage on the pink sand below.

The compound covers about 1.3 acres, with private steps cutting through the dune to the shoreline. Classic Bahamian design sets the tone, with vaulted ceilings, parquet floors, original artwork and custom furnishings. A mosaic-tiled heated pool is surrounded by sun decks and gardens, and a pool house with a dining pavilion and bar is the natural gathering place.

Six suites sleep up to 12 guests, each with its own entrance, terrace and bathroom, including a detached guest retreat. The primary suite has dual dressing areas, a deep soaking tub and an ocean-facing veranda. There is also a gym, a media room, a library and an office.

The house is generously staffed. A chef and assistant chef, a house manager, three butlers, three housekeepers, three garden and beach staff and a night security guard look after every detail. Beach chairs and watersports equipment wait on the sand, and the pastel-painted lanes of Dunmore Town are a short golf-cart ride away.
