Portofino is one of the most photographed harbours in the world, a tiny fishing village of ochre and pastel houses that has been a favourite of film stars and yachts since the 1950s.

Our historic villa here, restored by a leading early 20th-century architect, has views over the harbour and the sea. The beach at Paraggi, the nearest stretch of sand, is a short walk along the coast. Lunch at Puny on the piazzetta, an evening at the Splendido and a boat trip to the abbey at San Fruttuoso are all essential, and Santa Margherita Ligure is a short drive or boat ride away.
