Cielo de Bonaire
Cielo de Bonaire stands on a hillside around 130 metres above the sea near Alcúdia, on Mallorca's northern tip. Bordering protected natural land, it looks out over the bays of Alcúdia and Pollença to the peaks of the Serra de Tramuntana, and few villas on the island can match it for scale or privacy.
The house is inspired by the architecture of the Italian Renaissance, with around 3,500 square metres of space arranged over three floors and linked by a lift. At its heart is a 100-square-metre living room arranged around a grand fireplace. Eight guest bedrooms sleep up to 16, and a separate three-bedroom apartment houses staff.
Arrival can be spectacular. The estate has its own helipad, so guests can fly in directly from Palma airport, which is otherwise around 25 minutes away by road. The sea and the nearest port are less than five minutes away.
Wellbeing is taken seriously. A hotel-style spa on the ground floor has a 12-metre indoor pool, a sauna, a steam room, a jacuzzi and a gym. Outside, terraced tropical gardens laced with walking paths surround a 17-metre pool, a tennis court and a greenhouse.
A chef, drivers, airport transfers and additional staff can all be arranged. Alcúdia's old town walls, the beaches of the bay and the dramatic Formentor peninsula are all close by.
