Captain's Villa Rouge

Captain's Villa Rouge offers a stay in Lošinj's elegant past. Built in 1892, in the era when the island was a favourite retreat of the Austro-Hungarian elite, this Venetian-style villa stands at the edge of Čikat Bay, surrounded by pine forest and turquoise sea. It has been lovingly restored to its original grandeur, now paired with every contemporary comfort.

The villa rises over three floors, each with its own entrance and kitchen, and offers seven suites for up to 14 guests, making it ideal for families or friends who want togetherness and privacy in equal measure. Refined stonework, marble, vintage terrazzo floors, Murano glass chandeliers and carefully chosen nautical antiques give the interiors a timeless sophistication. The master suite pays tribute to the island's seafaring heritage.

Outside, lush gardens and a sweeping terrace shaded by lemon trees surround a 12-metre pool. There is an outdoor kitchen for chef-prepared feasts, a jacuzzi, a steam room and sauna, and a lift connecting all floors.

A personal butler trained at the International Butler Academy leads the service. Stays can be taken on a bed-and-breakfast basis or full board, with a private chef preparing every meal and Croatian wines included. Transfers from Lošinj Airport and bicycles are part of the stay.
