Villa Tamarindo
Villa Tamarindo sits on the beach between Sandy Lane and Holetown, on Barbados' celebrated west coast. Set among mature mahogany trees and landscaped gardens, it gives direct access to a secluded stretch of sand while keeping the restaurants, nightlife and Limegrove Lifestyle Centre of Holetown close at hand.
The villa was designed by the renowned Barbadian architect Larry Warren, who blended classic West Indian architecture with contemporary interiors. Expansive terraces and sundecks overlook the ocean, and the living spaces open wide to the sea breeze.
Five air-conditioned bedrooms, each with its own bathroom and tub, sleep ten guests, most enjoying views of the water. Indoors there is also a media room, a gym and a wet bar for evenings in.
At the heart of the outdoor space is a 44-foot saltwater pool, set on a terrace raised slightly above the beach so that it seems to merge with the Caribbean beyond. Alfresco dining spaces make the most of the sunsets, and the calm west-coast water is ideal for swimming and snorkelling. A full staff, including a chef, butler, housekeeping, laundress, gardener and concierge, looks after the household, with a night security guard for peace of mind.
