Villa Frangi

Villa Frangi sits on the hillside in Praiano, the quieter village halfway along the coast between Amalfi and Positano. A short walk through pedestrian lanes leads to the main square, the coast road is just a couple of minutes away, and the little beach of Marina di Praia is around fifteen minutes on foot.

The villa has been beautifully restored, with furniture made by local artisans and handmade Vietri ceramic tiles bringing colour to the kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms. Each of the five bedrooms has its own palette and private bathroom, and most look out over the sea or the garden. A professional kitchen and spacious living room complete the house, which sleeps ten.

One of its great surprises is an indoor spa beneath an arched ceiling, with a heated pool kept at around 31°C, massage jets and coloured lighting, alongside a sauna and a traditional bucket shower. Outside, terraced gardens with sea views hold a second pool with loungers and a shaded lounge, an outdoor gym, a barbecue and a pizza oven.

Service is generous. Continental breakfast is served daily and a cook prepares either lunch or dinner, while a butler and concierge are on hand for eight hours a day and housekeeping comes each morning. Porters handle luggage on arrival and departure, which is a real help on a coast of steps and lanes.
