Villa Azzurra Capri
Villa Azzurra sits just off Via Tragara, Capri's celebrated clifftop promenade, with a front-row view of the Faraglioni, the three limestone stacks off Capri's southern coast. The Piazzetta and the lanes of Capri town are an easy stroll away, yet from the terraces the only things in sight are rock, sky and the deep blue water that gives the villa its name.
Part of the Manfredi Fine Hotels Collection, the house is a contemporary island retreat of around 300 square metres, finished in marble, natural stone and fine wood. The main living space has travertine floors and floor-to-ceiling windows that frame the sea, with an open-plan kitchen and a separate sitting room.
Three suites sleep six guests, each with its own bathroom. The master suite has a bathroom clad entirely in marble, with a double basin carved from a single slab and a walk-in shower looking out to the view. The second suite has its own terrace and lounge, and the third opens onto a rooftop terrace.
Outside, terraces on several levels step down through a Mediterranean garden. The heated infinity pool seems to spill straight towards the Faraglioni, with a sun deck and loungers beside it and an open-air gym under a pergola. On the roof, a marble bar and outdoor kitchen set the scene for sunset aperitivi and dinners under the stars. Daily housekeeping, breakfast and concierge are included, and a private chef or a day aboard a Riva yacht can be arranged.
