Villa Aurea
Villa Aurea sits in the pine woods of Ibiza's wild north-east, between the beaches of Aigües Blanques and Cala de Sant Vicent, looking straight out to the island of Tagomago. A private path leads down to a small beach around three minutes away, and Santa Eulària is about ten minutes by car.
The house has a distinguished architectural pedigree. It was originally designed by the Catalan architect Carlos Ferrater, whose work draws on Josep Lluís Sert and Jørn Utzon, and has been sensitively renovated by Studio Romano to suit modern life while keeping the spirit of Ibizan vernacular building. Inside and out blur together, with marble bathrooms, terraces and sea views throughout.
The bedrooms are arranged in bungalow style for maximum privacy. Two are in the main house, while the others sit in independent bungalows among the pines, each with its own entrance, terrace and bathroom, sleeping twelve in all.
The gardens are a highlight, landscaped by Peter Marc Spindler with native planting such as lavender and Ibizan juniper around a heated pool, outdoor kitchen and sea-facing yoga area. For families there is a playground, pétanque, a volleyball court and an open-air cinema. Continental breakfast and daily cleaning are included, with a chef, extra staff, childcare and yacht charters available on request.
