Villa Añil, Marbella Club

Moments from the promenade and the beach, Villa Añil is as complete a family holiday house as the Golden Mile can offer. Its interiors are dressed in warm neutrals with an artisan’s touch: rough-hewn beams, woven pendant lights, hanging rattan chairs and flashes of teal against soft linen.

The house is designed for time together and time apart. There is a cinema room for films that run late into the night and a games room with a pool table. A private wellness floor has a sauna, Turkish bath, gym and treatment room. Outside, the garden is laid out for family barbecues around a heated pool. There is a porch swing for afternoon naps and an outdoor rain shower beside a carved stone bathtub.

The five bedrooms include a four-poster king and twin rooms with upholstered headboards. In one bathroom, a freestanding oval bath gazes out into the trees. The sage-green kitchen is fully fitted, and a long timber table seats everyone at once.

A dedicated Villa Host runs the house, and Marbella Club’s restaurants, Thalasso Spa, Beach Club and Kids Club are all close by.
