The Luca Alberghini Estate

The Luca Alberghini Estate occupies its own private peninsula on the Costa Smeralda, around five minutes' drive from the harbour and piazzetta of Porto Cervo. Four hectares of coastline surround the house, and the land around it has been acquired to keep the setting quiet, with the nearest neighbours a couple of miles away and the sun rising and setting over the water on either side.

The historic estate has been fully renovated, with around 1,300 square metres of modern interiors furnished with vintage and custom-made pieces and a collection of rare art. Twelve bedrooms sleep 24 guests: four large principal suites and eight en-suite guest rooms, three of them in a separate pavilion with its own living room and kitchen.

Life here is lived by the sea. Three pebble beaches sit within the estate, along with a dock with moorings for visiting yachts and a large sundeck beside the water that is easy for children to reach. Two swimming pools, one of them 25 metres long, and several wind-sheltered terraces cover every kind of day.

A 1.6-kilometre coastal path loops around the peninsula for morning runs or sunset walks, and a helipad makes arrivals simple. Indoors, a cinema room and integrated audio-visual systems take care of the evenings.
