Superyacht Charter in Croatia

Croatia's Dalmatian coast has more than a thousand islands, with short passages between them and sheltered water in most conditions. It combines Venetian-era towns with near-empty anchorages, often in the same afternoon.

Highlights

  • Split and Hvar — Diocletian's Palace, then Hvar's harbour and the Pakleni islands.
  • Vis — once a closed military island, now one of the Adriatic's quietest and most beautiful.
  • Korčula and Mljet — a walled medieval town and a national park of saltwater lakes.
  • Dubrovnik and the Elafiti islands — the old city walls, with a string of calm islands just offshore.
  • Kornati — a stark, uninhabited archipelago and national park further north.

A suggested week: Split to Dubrovnik

  1. Board in Split; cross to Šolta or Brač for the evening.
  2. Hvar and the Pakleni islands.
  3. Vis and the Blue Cave at Biševo.
  4. Korčula old town.
  5. Mljet national park.
  6. The Elafiti islands.
  7. Dubrovnik to disembark.

The route works equally well in reverse, and a longer charter can continue south to Montenegro's Bay of Kotor.

When to go

June and September bring warm water and quieter towns. July and August are lively in Hvar and Dubrovnik, while Vis, Mljet and the Elafiti islands stay calm throughout the summer.

Stay ashore

Choose a villa Dubrovnik at either end of the charter, or a private house on Hvar or Mali Losinj for a few days between island-hopping and home.
