Spirit of Son Fuster

Spirit of Son Fuster is a Mallorcan manor house with roots in the 14th century, restored to modern standards and set within 40 hectares of farmland, orchards and rolling hills. It lies at the foot of the twin peaks of Alaró, on the edge of the Serra de Tramuntana, in the quiet interior of the island.

The house is run as a private hotel for one group at a time. Ten bedrooms sleep 20 guests, and the interiors mix Spanish, North African and American West influences with old stone walls and timber. Comfort is carefully considered, from air conditioning and underfloor heating to a cinema with a high-end sound system.

The estate is made for active, restorative stays. There is a heated pool, a full gym, a spa with infrared sauna and steam room, and a high-altitude training room. Outside, guests can play volleyball, padel, badminton, boules or cricket, then set off along hiking trails or on bicycles through the fields and olive groves.

What sets Son Fuster apart is the way it is run. A manager, chefs, maids and concierge are on hand around the clock, yet the style is informal and discreet. Meals are cooked with organic produce from the farm, an open bar is included, and a helipad makes for easy arrivals from across the island.
