Sentosa

Sentosa takes its shape from the sea in front of it. Designed by a local architect and completed in 2018, this contemporary villa on Grace Bay follows a gentle curve, so that the beachfront bedrooms turn towards the water and open straight onto the pool terrace.

The house sits on around one and a half acres with roughly 240 feet of frontage on Grace Bay. Living is on a single level: six bedrooms in the main house and two in a separate guest cottage, sleeping 16 in all, with clean lines and broad glass doors that keep the turquoise water in view from almost everywhere.

At the centre is a heated pool with a hot tub, framed by terraces that step down to a private beach deck with daybeds and a short run of steps to the sand. Kayaks and snorkelling gear are ready for the calm water, while an open-air dining cabana and fire pit set the scene for evenings outdoors.

Indoors there is a media room, gym and massage room, plus bocce, table tennis and foosball for slower afternoons. A chef, two butlers and a housekeeper look after the household, which makes Sentosa a natural fit for multi-generational families and friends travelling together.
