Seaclusion
Seaclusion is a beachfront villa at Derricks, in the parish of St James on the west coast of Barbados, set on a bluff above the Caribbean Sea within around an acre of tropical gardens. The sea is in view from every living area and from five of the six bedrooms.
The house is made for gracious living. A cocktail bar, a formal dining room and a grand piano set the tone indoors, and a sea-facing terrace with a bar leads out to an oceanfront gazebo for informal meals. The infinity-edge lap pool has a built-in bar table and sunken seating, so drinks can be enjoyed without leaving the water.
Six bedrooms sleep up to 12 guests. The main house has four suites with terraces, and a spiral staircase leads to a master suite with its own private terrace. A separate self-contained cottage bedroom is ideal for teenagers or staff.
The gardens are a place of calm, with zen gardens, a koi pond and a space for yoga and meditation, and private steps lead down to a secluded beach. There is a fitness room and watersports equipment. A butler, chef, housekeeper, laundress, 24-hour security, property management and concierge are included. The restaurants and boutiques of Holetown and Sandy Lane are a short drive away.
