San Gerolamo
Villa San Gerolamo crowns a hilltop in the Crete Senesi, the rolling clay hills south-east of Siena, where every direction opens onto a different Tuscan view. On clear days, the medieval towers of Siena rise on the horizon.
The estate covers around two hectares, with its own olive grove and a house wine produced under a private label. The villa has been carefully restored to pair traditional Italian character with modern comfort, and with a Grade A energy rating it is as efficient as it is beautiful. Around 510 square metres of living space are arranged in a flexible layout, so families and groups can spend time together or find quiet corners of their own.
Five bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, sleep up to ten guests. A chef's kitchen, a library with a study desk, a media room, a gym and a fireplace complete the interiors, and a brick-oven room houses a historic oven, perfect for pizza nights.
Outside, a saltwater infinity pool and jacuzzi look out over the hills, with outdoor dining for long lunches in the sun. A private gated driveway ensures complete seclusion. Daily housekeeping and all utilities are included, and a private chef, grocery shopping, transport and babysitting can be arranged. Siena, Montalcino and the abbey of Monte Oliveto Maggiore are all within easy reach.
