Palm Beach
Palm Beach is a grand Palladian-style villa on L'Ansecoy Bay, at the northern end of Mustique, set on six acres of grounds that run down to the sand. Few villas on the island sit as close to the shoreline.
Built in 1999 and designed by Arne Hasselqvist, the architect behind many of Mustique's most celebrated houses, with influences from Oliver Messel, it has the elegance of a classic island home. A double-height entrance hall filled with palms rises to a dual staircase, and formal living and dining rooms open onto wraparound verandas. A casual sitting room is made for relaxed evenings.
Nine bedrooms sleep up to 16 guests, with eight suites in the main house and two poolside guest cottages. There is a library, a gym, a music room with a piano and a home cinema, and a beachfront pool shaded by palms looks out across the bay.
The villa is looked after by a dedicated team: a manager, a chef, two waitresses, three live-in housekeepers and three gardeners. Mustique's famously relaxed island life, from Basil's Bar to the island's riding stables and quiet beaches, is all within easy reach.
