Masseria Lamacoppa

Masseria Lamacoppa is a 17th-century family estate around ten minutes from Ostuni, the whitewashed hill town of Puglia. Restored with great care, it sits among 120 acres of olive groves, lemon trees and orchards, with walled gardens, courtyards and a private chapel.

The house is full of character. On the ground floor, a library and study, a television lounge, a living room, a breakfast room and a formal dining room are warmed by open fireplaces. Upstairs, a sitting room and gallery open onto a west-facing terrace, the perfect place to watch the sun set over the olive trees.

Six bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, sleep up to 12 guests. One is on the ground floor, and five are upstairs, three with private balconies. Outside, a large pool and jacuzzi are joined by a pool house with a kitchen, a hammam, a gym and changing rooms, and there is a traditional wood-fired pizza oven.

A private chef prepares three meals a day using organic produce from the estate's own gardens and fruit trees, with daily housekeeping and serving staff included. The chapel and gardens make a beautiful setting for celebrations. The Adriatic coast is around 15 minutes away and the Ionian coast about 35.
