Villas with direct access to the sea are rare on the Amalfi Coast. The coastline is a near-vertical wall of limestone, and most houses cling to the cliffs high above the sea. The handful with direct access to the water are among the most sought-after properties in Italy.

Our collection includes a villa in Praiano, the quieter village between Positano and Amalfi, with the small beach at Marina di Praia below; a restored villa on the coast with its own access to the sea; and a private island off Positano, one of the most extraordinary properties in the Mediterranean. Days are best spent on the water: a boat to Da Adolfo, the Positano beach restaurant best reached by its own little ferry, or across to Capri for lunch. Il San Pietro, built into the cliffs outside Positano, remains the coast's most elegant hotel for dinner.
