Luxury Renaissance Estate in the Florentine Countryside, Tuscany, Italy

Located in the lavish Florentine countryside just 15 minutes from the centre of Florence, this property is a private Renaissance hamlet offering an exclusive combination of elegant accommodation, exceptional comfort and warm bespoke hospitality.

Once a country residence of painters in the 15th century, the property has been skillfully restored into a luxury villa retreat with five prestigious villas and one suite nestled in a beautiful park. It is an extraordinary place where the charm and art of the past meet contemporary comfort to create a unique blend. Within the vast park, the accommodations enjoy private outdoor gardens, a large panoramic pool, a refined wellness centre, dedicated event areas, a guest-only restaurant and an organic vegetable patch with seasonal produce. The highlight of the hamlet is the chapel decorated with original frescoes.

The estate is also home to a magnificent olive grove that produces exceptionally pure Italian extra virgin olive oil under the property’s own brand. The breathtaking landscape, the refined design of the Renaissance accommodation and the curated guest experiences come together with the natural beauty of the setting to create a unique and private environment for exclusive use.

LOCATION

Nestled in the gentle hills surrounding Florence, the estate enjoys a privileged position for exploring Tuscany’s most charming villages and historic cities. From this unique vantage point, guests can admire the skyline of Florence, including the iconic Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore and Brunelleschi’s famed dome, as well as the serene monastery of the Certosa in Galluzzo. Here, the beauty of nature blends seamlessly with rich architectural heritage and centuries of history. Rolling hills lined with cypress trees and silvery olive groves complete the scene – an unforgettable setting for a luxurious Tuscan retreat or a truly memorable event.

THE HAMLET

The estate is spread across an entire Renaissance hamlet, consisting of the elegant architecture of the five original and finely restored villas and one suite, immersed in a wonderful and exclusive park. Walking through the hamlet’s streets and paths, surrounded by lush greenery, you can breathe the scents of the bushes of aromatic plants and delicate flowers that cover the gardens. Characteristic corners and magnificent views open onto the surrounding hills, while centuries-old trees offer shade.

A pool of crystal clear water in the middle of the park extends for 150 square metres providing refreshing relaxation, framed by extraordinary landscape. In the eastern part of the park there is an ancient restored bastion offering a natural viewpoint. The hamlet also includes a wellness centre and a restaurant open exclusively for guests in the estate’s old building with a beautiful garden in front.

The estate features five distinct luxury villas and one exclusive suite, each with its own unique story and character. These residences are the result of a meticulous restoration by the architect, who together with skilled local craftsmen, preserved the original charm of Renaissance architecture. The result is a collection of exceptionally beautiful villas, each with defining details that set them apart. In total the estate offers 20 rooms – 17 doubles and 3 singles – designed to offer both elegance and comfort in an atmosphere of timeless beauty.

Main villa (5 bedrooms)

The main building was a magnificent manor house. Typical of Renaissance villas, the splendid façade overlooks a double staircase with an Italian garden flanked by an ancient lemon house and a bathtub with sapphire reflections. The finely furnished interior retains some of the period’s unmistakable features, such as the elegant coffered ceiling on the ground-floor living room. In addition to the living room with a fireplace, it includes a bright dining room, a large equipped kitchen and five double bedrooms. The most exclusive is located in the villa’s ancient dovecote and boasts an extraordinary view of Florence Cathedral and the Certosa in Galluzzo.

Villa 2 (4 bedrooms)

Next to the main villa stands one of the estate’s original 16th-century residences, now transformed into an elegant and refined retreat. The restoration honours the villa’s historic character, blending understated elegance with modern comfort. Authentic materials typical of traditional Tuscan farmhouses, such as Macigno stone and the renowned Impruneta terracotta, enhance its timeless charm. With four beautifully appointed rooms, villa 2 offers sweeping views of Florence and the surrounding hills. The villa also features a spacious panoramic courtyard and exclusive access to the chapel housing original frescoes.

Villa 3 (4 bedrooms)

Villa 3 is one of the most enchanting residences on the estate, born from the careful restoration of the estate’s historic olive mill. Now a prestigious retreat, it blends heritage with refined comfort. The spacious outdoor porch, overlooking a private garden, provides an idyllic setting for leisurely breakfasts or al fresco lunches. Inside, a large living area and an additional sitting room (both with fireplaces) create a warm and sophisticated atmosphere. Upstairs, the villa offers three bedrooms: two doubles and one single. From the internal courtyard, guests can also access a charming annexe with an additional room, ideal for added privacy.

Villa 4 (2 bedrooms)

Villa 4 is the most faithful to its original architecture, preserving the charm and character of its rural Tuscan roots. The striking arches and traditional materials create an atmosphere of warm, timeless beauty. The villa features a cozy living room with a fireplace and a second sitting area crowned by an impressive wooden truss. A fully equipped kitchen and two double bedrooms, each with a wardrobe and private marble bathroom, complete the interior. One of the bedrooms offers a breathtaking view over Florence and the rolling hills beyond. A beautifully landscaped garden surrounds the villa, adding to its serene and harmonious appeal.

Villa 5 (4 bedrooms)

For anyone who loves quiet and privacy, villa 5 offers elegant accommodation surrounded by greenery, with a garden surrounded by fragrant hedges, bougainvillaea and fruit trees. A beautiful external pergola is ideal for lunchtime tasting sessions and outdoor aperitifs. The villa’s interior houses a bright living room with a dining area, a fully-fitted kitchen, a master bedroom on the mezzanine floor connected to a single room and private access to the garden, plus two more double bedrooms on the upper floor.

The suite (1 bedroom)

Once an ancient lemon house and now beautifully restored with charm, the suite is a 40-square-metre (430-square-foot) one-bedroom retreat. Large arched windows fill the interior with soft natural light, creating a bright and inviting atmosphere. The suite features a double bedroom with a cozy living area, offering peaceful views of the Renaissance garden.

The Wellness Centre

The wellness centre is housed within the Renaissance villa, offering a serene and atmospheric retreat. Located in the historic basement, it retains original stone walls and a stunning brick barrel vault, creating an exceptional setting. Designed for holistic well-being, the space features a Turkish bath, jacuzzi, sauna and sensory shower – ideal for recharging both body and mind. Guests can also enjoy a small gym and a private massage room for personalised treatments, all within a dreamlike ambiance of timeless beauty and tranquility.

The Chapel

The Chapel of the Blessed Virgin Mary is an exceptional work of art and architecture. Inside the chapel’s completely restored interior is a depiction of the Madonna and Child Enthroned between the saints Dominic and Benedict kneeling as a tribute to the father and uncle painters. The central work sits alongside other frescoes and stands as a precious tribute to its creator.

The restaurant and vegetable patch

The restaurant is reserved exclusively for guests, ensuring a personalised dining experience that meets every taste and desire. Whether in the elegant dining room or the charming garden, guests can savour dishes inspired by the finest local ingredients and seasonal flavours. Many of these come directly from the estate’s own vegetable garden, where the vibrant colours and aromas of Tuscany come to life. The private chef is dedicated to crafting exceptional meals and is always delighted to share the secrets behind the region’s most beloved recipes.

Scenic Swimming Pool

Covering 150 square meters, the estate’s panoramic swimming pool is a stunning oasis nestled within the lush greenery of the park. Around the pool, guests can relax on sun loungers under umbrellas while enjoying their favourite cocktails and the breathtaking views. Surrounded by a manicured lawn and framed by cypresses, olive trees, and fruit trees, the heated pool features two charming stone islets adorned with fragrant orange plants, adding to the tranquil atmosphere.

Helipad and Tesla charging station

The property also boasts a private helipad for flights and helicopter tours, allowing guests to arrive in maximum privacy and to discover the unique beauty of the Tuscan landscape through exceptional panoramic helicopter tours. There is also a charging station for electric cars with a Destination Tesla Charger.
