Standing dramatically on a private peninsula at Mustique’s southern tip, this legendary villa was designed by Oliver Messel for HRH The Princess Margaret, Countess of Snowdon.
Les Jolies Eaux is located in a very private position overlooking several beaches, with gorgeous views from every vantage point within the house. It’s easy to see why Her Royal Highness chose to holiday here twice a year for most of her life after being gifted this ‘piece of Mustique’ as a wedding present from the flamboyant Scottish aristocrat Colin Tennant, who purchased the island back in 1958.
The house retains its sophisticated style and elegant proportions after being sold to new owners, who brought the property up to date while losing none of the appeal of its original character.
The stunning indoor and outdoor vistas invite natural light into the interior, which is punctuated by tropical-print fabrics and colonial-style furniture.
The ten-acre Atlantic-facing plot features five bed rooms, two swimming pools and fabulous outdoor pavilions for enjoying a sundowner or drinking in the views.
