Ithaca Estate
Ithaca Estate is a private estate on Ithaca, the rugged Ionian island celebrated as the home of Odysseus in Homer's Odyssey. Still unspoilt and wonderfully quiet, Ithaca is a place of hidden coves, olive-clad hills and old fishing harbours, and the estate captures its timeless spirit.
The house is filled with light, and its interiors are crafted with remarkable care. Walnut floors, hand-carved doors, crystal chandeliers and a curated collection of antiques fill the rooms, and every bedroom has a marble bathroom and a private balcony looking out to sea.
Six bedrooms sleep up to 12 guests. Outside, a large swimming pool overlooks the water, and the estate's own olive groves and vineyards invite slow wanders in the evening light. Walking trails lead straight from the house into the countryside.
A full staff is on hand around the clock, including a private chef who cooks with the finest local produce from the island. Massages and yoga can be arranged at the villa, and a private boat can take guests to a secluded beach or around the island's coves. Helicopter flights and private tours of nearby villages and the harbour town of Vathy can also be arranged.
