Friendship House

Friendship House sits on a secluded headland above Friendship Bay on Bequia, the small, friendly island in the Grenadines famed for its sailing heritage and easy-going pace. From its terraces the view stretches across the bay to Mustique on the horizon.

Two acres of tropical gardens and fruit trees slope down from the house to a south-facing crescent of sand, protected by a reef and offshore islands so the water is usually calm and shallow. A private path leads to the beach, where a cabana and watersports hut hold kayaks, paddleboards and snorkelling gear.

The house is bright and contemporary, with a wraparound veranda, open-plan living and kitchen spaces and covered outdoor dining. Steps lead down to a 40-foot infinity pool with a pool house, bar and lounge, a sundeck and an outdoor kitchen. There is a yoga deck and zen garden, a fully equipped gym and an outdoor projection cinema for nights under the stars.

Five air-conditioned bedrooms, with king beds, goose-down duvets and blackout curtains, sleep up to ten guests. Housekeeping, laundry and concierge are included, and a private chef, a car with driver, a boat with captain and childcare can be arranged. The Bequia Beach Hotel is a short stroll along the sand.
