Built to meld with the surrounding landscape, the soaring structure emerges from the rocks above the waves, creating an extraordinary private luxury residence, with a manta-ray-shaped roof, cathedral-like ceilings, staggeringly beautiful indoor-outdoor design and a remarkable infinity pool with expansive ocean views. Four bedrooms, six bathrooms, a private kitchen and a vast living space lead onto a second, even larger outdoor terrace to the pool, edged by a beautiful, vaulted bar and lounge area.

Extraordinary design: Huge, sustainably-harvested eucalyptus trunks emerge from the coral stone floors, soaring up to support an extraordinary undulating roof, crafted to honour the shape of a ray or a frigate bird’s wings. With triple-height ceilings perfectly framing the ocean views and capturing the sea breeze, every angle offers a front-row seat to the splendour of the Pacific.

Follow the flow of the building down to a semi-Olympic-size infinity pool, surrounded by soft day beds and a beautiful open-air lounge beneath frescoed lavastone ceilings. A dining terrace hangs on the edge of the ocean.

Exquisite interiors: Reclaimed teak and recycled textiles, deep, linen-covered sofas, marine-influenced ceramics, colonial-style rattan chairs and local weavings showcasing local tribal patterns. Fallen trees from the archipelago have been repurposed into beautiful furniture, while traditional artworks commissioned and handmade in Panama by the indigenous Guna tribe grace the walls alongside paintings from local artists.

Bedrooms feature breezy four-poster beds and spacious ensuite bathrooms with geometric tiling, featuring floor-to-ceiling windows and huge balconies. Staggeringly beautiful ocean views come as standard.

Getting here: The island’s private plane is the easiest way to reach the resort. Guests flying into Panama City are met on arrival and escorted through immigration and customs to board the Twin Otter aircraft for a direct hour flight to the island. Scheduled airplane transfers between Panama City and the island operate 3 – 4 times per week depending on the season. Private charter flights outside the schedules are subject to availability.
