Domaine de Lys

Domaine de Lys is a fully refurbished estate set on 3.8 hectares of flat, landscaped grounds near Saint-Paul-de-Vence, the medieval hilltop village in the hills behind Nice that was home to Marc Chagall in his final years. From the house the view stretches across the countryside to the Mediterranean.

The grounds are the estate's great luxury: wide lawns, mature gardens and a large swimming pool, with a hard tennis court and a fully equipped outdoor kitchen nearby. Such generous, level gardens are rare on the Riviera, which makes Domaine de Lys a natural choice for weddings, celebrations and large family gatherings.

Inside, the ground floor holds a living room, a library, a kitchen and a dining room for 14, along with three en-suite bedrooms. Upstairs are three more en-suite bedrooms, including a master suite with a sea-view balcony. The lower floor is given over to fun, with a wine cellar, a lounge with a pool table, a private cinema, an indoor pool and a seventh bedroom. In all, the house sleeps up to 14 guests.

A resident caretaker couple and a maintenance technician look after the estate, with cleaning and linen changes included. The galleries of Saint-Paul-de-Vence and the Fondation Maeght are close by, and Nice airport and the beaches of the coast are within easy reach.
