Cuccia Noya
Villa Cuccia Noya sits on Pointe Saint-Hospice, the wooded tip of Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, in a tiny enclave of just 16 villas. The headland takes its name from Hospitius, a 6th-century hermit said to have cured the sick, and today it is one of the most private corners of the Riviera, with Paloma Beach just two minutes' walk away.
The house has a history of its own, with residents recorded here as far back as 1894. It is a Spanish-influenced Mediterranean residence with a tall living room lit by arched windows, an old stone fireplace and a grand piano, set within landscaped gardens and sea-view terraces that run down to private sea access.
What makes Cuccia Noya unforgettable is its art. The villa has housed works by Picasso, Miró, Calder and Piero Manzoni, while a mosaic sculpture by Fernand Léger stands by the pool, and it has hosted private exhibitions in its gardens.
Six en-suite bedrooms sleep up to 12 guests. There is a heated pool and jacuzzi, several dining areas, a gym and a wine cellar. The villa can be taken with a villa manager and housekeeper, or fully staffed with a chef, butler and extra housekeeping, with champagne and flowers on arrival.
The village and harbour of Saint-Jean, Beaulieu-sur-Mer and several Michelin-starred restaurants are within walking distance. Monaco is about 15 minutes away and Nice airport around 30.
