Can Baloo

Can Baloo is made for the long, sociable days that Ibiza does so well. Set in the sought-after hills around San José, on three hectares of gardens, it looks out over green hillsides to the sea and the island of Formentera.

The villa's heart is outdoors. An 18-metre infinity pool sits within manicured gardens, while the roof terrace above has a professional bar, its own plunge pool and seating for a crowd, making it one of the island's great places to watch the sun go down. A pergola-shaded outdoor kitchen and dining table seats 20, and there is a full-size volleyball court, a pétanque pitch and an air-conditioned gym for those who like to stay active.

Inside, a calm, neutral palette is warmed by natural textiles and wood, and floor-to-ceiling glass connects the living spaces to the terrace. Bedrooms for up to 16 guests are spread between the main house, with marble and glass en-suites, and a charming Javanese-style bungalow in the garden with an open-air shower.

House staff and a daily breakfast are included, and a private chef, driver and airport transfers can be arranged. The beaches of the south-west coast, from Cala Jondal to Es Torrent, are a short drive away.
