A relaxed, fully hosted retreat with plenty of character, this ocean-facing villa brings all seven bedrooms together under one roof. Nestled within a dune forest on the Machangulo Peninsula, it offers both privacy and a sense of connection, ideal for extended families or groups.
The property offers unique, hands-on conservation experiences, including acoustic fish tagging and participation in elephant collaring within the Mapucha National Park. Guests receive exclusive access to the fully serviced house and flexible, curated adventure itineraries including diving and deep-sea fishing.
Set in a spectacular location on Mozambique’s Machangulo Peninsula, the villa is available for exclusive use and accommodates up to 18 guests of all ages. Each of the seven bedrooms is uniquely designed and furnished to an exceptional standard, offering individual sanctuary while remaining part of a cohesive, welcoming home.
The rooms are arranged around a 16-metre heated oval swimming pool, with sweeping views out to the ocean. Inside, generous living spaces include a comfortable lounge with a fireplace, a dining room, study, and games room. Throughout the house, cosy corners invite you to unwind with a book or simply take in the sea views.
Located just across the bay from Maputo, the peninsula stretches for 22 kilometres of untouched beaches. It’s a place of remarkable natural diversity, where coastal dune forests, wetlands, savanna grasslands, and mangrove ecosystems support abundant wildlife.
Between July and November, humpback whales migrate past the peninsula and are often visible from the villa’s decks. The beaches also serve as important nesting grounds for leatherback and loggerhead turtles, supported by local conservation programmes that protect up to 200 nests each year.
Nearby, the vast Maputo Special Reserve spans 250,000 acres and is home to hundreds of endemic Mozambican elephants. Ongoing conservation efforts have successfully reintroduced species such as cheetah, buffalo, and other plains game, enriching this wild and expansive landscape.
Dining is a highlight of the experience. Guests can enjoy indulgent meals served in scenic spots around the property or on the beach. The resident chef creates fresh, seasonal dishes using locally sourced ingredients and produce from the organic garden. Freshly caught fish features prominently, with menus tailored to guest preferences, delivering wholesome, flavourful cuisine designed to nourish both body and soul.
