Exclusive-use 20,000 game reserve with multi award-winning safari house. Situated in the malaria-free Waterberg region overlooking Palala Valley, surrounded by rugged rocks, bushveld savannah, natural streams and ravines.

Enjoy an abundance of wildlife and birdlife, plains game as well as hippo, crocodile and buffalo. View game on the reserve from a Land Cruiser or quad bikes. No Big 5 are present on the reserve, but this can be arranged. 

As as guest you have the freedom do to whatever you want, whenever you want, with exclusive use of the entire reserve. There is a helicopter and pilot on call at the reserve.

Activities include sky diving from a helicopter, helicopter paintballing, target shooting with military-grade rifles, camping overnight with hippos, starlight safari in the private observatory with rotating copper dome. There is also quad biking, dirt biking, fishing, game drives, cave walks, mountain lookout walks, rock art viewing, cliff top camping, clay pigeon shooting.   

Stays include full use of the facilities of the reserve as well as chef, butler, all meals, drinks, wines and spirits.

The Observatory

The observatory, designed by award-winning architects Silvio Rech and Lesley Carstens, is a masterpiece, ideal for couples or for families.

This remarkable house is state-of-the-art, with breath-taking views and the ultimate in luxury. Serviced by a butler, maid and chef, it also has a heated infinity pool, and a jacuzzi on the roof. There is an automated observatory that is perfect for stargazing.

The house sleeps 6 adults and three children in 3 double rooms and a children’s triple bunk room. There is space to eat both inside and outside as well as a spectacular sunken fire pit.

  • Daily rates for 1-4 guests from R 80,000 – R 120,000 per night

The Lodge

The lodge has a classic African style with stunning views over the Palala valley. Accommodation comprises 9 chalets sleeping a maximum of 20 people comfortably.

It is fully staffed, complete with multiple lounge areas, bar, snooker table, wi-fi, boma, sunken fire pit and a stunning heated swimming pool built into the side of the mountain which is fantastic for children.

It is rented exclusively so is perfect for families or a group of friends and also can be rented along with the Observatory as an overflow for additional guests or staff.
