Palatial Renaissance Estate near Florence in Tuscany, Italy

Located on the southern slopes of Montalbano Hill near Florence, this Renaissance-era residence sits amid a lush botanical park and sprawling vineyards. Meticulously restored in 2018, the estate now showcases the original elegance of the villa and its surrounding landscape. Encompassing approximately 400 hectares, the estate includes vineyards, olive groves, and forested areas—an authentic expression of Tuscan beauty.

The layout of the historic residence has been carefully preserved, and each suite has been thoughtfully designed to balance classical charm with modern comfort. Suites feature distinctive architectural details paired with contemporary amenities, offering a refined and welcoming stay.

The estate includes a stable with 16 horse stalls, an operational farm with oil mill and carpentry workshop, several wine cellars, five annex buildings, an 18-hectare fenced garden, and 381 hectares of cultivated and natural land. This includes 40 hectares of vineyards, expected to expand to 50 within three years, 15 hectares of olive groves, 287 hectares of forest, and an additional 21 hectares recently acquired. Nestled in the Montalbano hills, within the heart of Chianti, the property spans over 1,300 years of history and regional heritage.

Two renovated farmhouses are positioned at the estate’s main entrance. One offers three bedrooms across two floors, two bathrooms, a kitchen, and a living room. The other features four bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen, and a living room. Another renovated farmhouse, situated near the oil mill, contains three bedrooms, one bathroom, a kitchen, and a living room.

At the heart of the estate stands the noble Renaissance villa, which flourished in the 19th century under the influence of Marquis Cosimo Ridolfi. The villa’s interior includes original frescoes and elegant period furnishings that enhance the grandeur of its spacious rooms.

Key features of the estate include:

• 400 hectares of land in the Capraia and Limite region, with 40 hectares of vineyards and 10 hectares of olive groves • A production winery open to visitors • A 16-hectare botanical park with formal Italian gardens • A central villa spanning 2,600 square meters over three floors, with a private underground wine cellar • Nine bedrooms (including two master suites), each with a bathroom and wardrobe; two suites feature private living rooms (18 beds total), and one includes a sauna • Five ground-floor salons with television and an original 18th-century piano • A billiards room, Technogym-equipped gym located in one of the towers, dining room, spa with indoor pool and jacuzzi, and outdoor swimming pool • A 120-square-meter historic private theater—one of only five such theaters in Italian villas • Two panoramic towers, a meeting room, two terraces including a 300-square-meter solarium, and a private 60-square-meter chapel • A large, fully equipped kitchen
